How To Clean an Electric Kettle
1. Add lemon and 1 Tablespoon Baking soda in the kettle. Fill the kettle around half way or three-quarter way.
2. Turn on the kettle and let this solution come to a boil.
Turn off the kettle and let the solution soak inside the kettle for 20-30 minutes to soften the scale buildup.
You can leave the solution longer or increase the quantity of vinegar or lemon if the buildup is really bad
3. Scrub the inside of kettle with a non-metallic sponge, cloth or a soft brush
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water
For removing the smell of vinegar, you can fill it with water and let it come to a quick boil and pour it out
4. Wipe down the inside of kettle and leave it to dry
